Update

My work grabbed all my time in May, except a couple of evenings when I was able to apply some fairing compound to the port float. In June so far I have been sailing a bit, I bought an Escape Captiva dinghy because the weather was really nice and I bought a Laerling for the summer house. Hopefully this will make my son Eilert as keen on sailing as I have become, much because I was given the opportunity to sail a Laerling as a child.

The last couple of days I have really been familiar with the longboard and the float is now faired. Holes for hatches are cut and backfilled with HD putty and the wing net rail is attached. Just some minor fairing and epoxy coating and then I will be able to start the main hull construction. I'm really looking forward to that. But tomorrow morning we are leaving for the holidays and there will not be any building for another four weeks.

I wish you all a nice summer and fair winds!
