Back from summer holidays

It has been a while since the last post and I haven't been building either until yesterday. I have now started laying out fibres on the port float.

I have been on holidays with my family and managed to get four days in "Frimann", attending the IMM 2007. Here at harbour in Fredrikstad.

One of the Danish participants, the Jan Andersen-designed and -built 30' swing-wing wooden trimaran "Barracuda". It is now for sale as the builder/designer wish to design and build another trimaran. It won the "best looking boat" price and was fast in the regatta.

Here is Morten Brinch's F82. A very nice piece of work:

Some of the participants at harbour in the river "Glomma". The current is somewhere between 2 and 4 knots, and maneuvering the boat sideways into a hole between two rows of three 'condomarans' laying alongside was quite an experience.

Preparing for bridge-opening and departure for the regatta-area.

The F9R "Wildepferde" from Germany:

My early seventies design Telstar 26 didn't really catch up with the modern tri's, in fact they were all quite soon on the other side of the fjord and we didn't get to see them sailing very much, but we did have a few condomarans behind us in the regattas:

Thanks for the IMM2007 pics, Tom.

Been saving up for a Farrier tri
ever since I first spotted Morten
Brinch's F82 "Tri Beauties" in the
Faerder regatta a few years ago.

Keep up the good work,
greetings fm Ari
